Lately it feels like things are drastically changing! It's been a hell of a ride! So, I feel its only right to give an update and get it all out!!
I am going to assign categories to keep everything in sync!
Vegas
Ahhh... Las Vegas. First of all, my room was fantastic! We stayed at the Palazzo Hotel. I had a King Size Suite with a sunken living room and an awesome view of the strip! It was single-handedly the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in... I did take ALOT of pictures of the room but, I will have to post them later. The Blackboard conference we attended was really great. I learned a good deal about some of the topics relate to my job!
The first night I had to gamble! There was no way I was going to vegas and not play the SLOTS! Low and Behold, I found a SOPRANOS slot machine! I was in HEAVEN! I played a little from about 8:30 until midnight... and when I got about $50 ahead... I had the control to stop and head to my room because I knew that I was going to have a few long days ahead. Needless to say, I became soo addicted to the Sopranos machine (I knew I was going to win the jackpot) that I played from 8pm - 3am!!! AHHHHH! I lost soo much money $$$$$$! It was painful... There is nothing worse than being broke in Vegas...
On the upside, I learned that from all my gambling I was awarded comp prizes!! I got free tickets to see the "Blue Man" group... it was way cool! Also, I got a $35 discover card to use anywhere on Venetian property!! Sweeet... The stores there were phenominal! It took me 2 days just to see everything!!! Soo Soo Cool... I have never walked more in my life... The weird thing that I found out about Vegas is that it gave me an EXTREME amount of energy... I never got tired or hungry... just thirsty! It was crazy! I did suffer from jet lag though... When I stopped moving... it nearly felt like my knees were going to give out and I would faint!
Friday was sorta a free day.... I tried to get out and see what I could see.. I went to Madame Tussand's wax museum... Really not all that impressive.. I think Ripley's believe or not was better when I was a kid... I did manage to make it over to Caesar's Palace and had lunch there...
Then before I knew it... it was time to go! I would love to go back to vegas some day because I didn't nearly get to see 1/4 of what I wanted to see there... it was just too cool! I need to go back sometime in the next three years when Cher is still there... I didn't get to see her show this time because she is on a break till August! :( I will be back sometime!
Ohhh... another cool thing I got to experience was an oxygen bar! It was pretty sweet... it totally clears your mind and relaxes you... the 4 types of massages didn't hurt as well.. :)
My Psychic Reading
So, I got a psychic reading when I was in Vegas at the client appreciation party thingy... The party was cool... kinda like a carnival... with all these different countries as "stations".. and all these games and fun stuff at each station... Well, one of the stations had fortune tellers.
I don't know how much I believe in all this... but, I figured I would document it here, just in case it happens... All I gave her was my birth date, mind you... NO names, job titles... or anything
-I am a multi-tasker... I can juggle all sorts of projects as long as I am interested
-I analyze everything and tend to sit on the fence alot
-Things are starting to come together for me
-I need to take opportunities when they come or they will stop coming
-My job needs me, expect big changes in October...
-I go back and forth with my health/diet... but, I am strong I know what needs to be done... this will be a battle I fight for the span of my life.
-I love to shop, but I need to be wary... and BUDGET.
-I will meet a special guy between mid-November and December... It will be in a busy place. We are going to instantly connect... He is very funny and a nice dresser... but, I will not marry him
-I will be married between ages 27-28
-I will have a daughter before I am 30.
-I will live to be at least 80.
Family
An update on the family subject.... The last I left off I was going to reach out to my distant aunt and try to reconnect.... My aunt was very excited to here from me.. She has sent me 3 cards and pictures.. She was going to plan to come down the next time I came... which turns out to be this weekend! I got to talk to to her on the phone before I left for vegas... Things are starting to feel right!
Here is the big shocker... I ended up sending my grandfather a thank you card for inviting my parents over to there house for the 4th of July... God must have given me the strength to do this... because this has been a LONG LONG battle I have been fighting the past 5 years... This hatred and disgust for my grandfather...
I guess I may have grown or something?! I have come to realize that you can't chose your family... They are all you got in this life... despite their faults... The choices they make are not mine... I don't have to live with them... and once they are gone... thats it.... you cant get them back.
So.... this Saturday alot of family members are coming over to my parents house... I am pretty nervous about this... I have no idea what the hell is going to happen! I will report back on this... eeeek :(
Gym
Well, today was a sad day for me... I had my last session with my trainer. Her and her family are moving to Goliad, Texas.. Her husband has just graduated with his teaching degree in ag and that place just happens to be where he got a job... Amy and I have worked out together for a year and 1/2... I didn't think I was going to get so tore out of shape... but, I should have known myself better.... I always get upset when people leave... in jobs, school, whatever... I don't like change :(
So, this starts a new phase for me... I don't have the $$ to continue with a new trainer... so, its up to me to figure out what to do... It is going to be hard for me to go back to that gym without Amy there... I may start membership at the gym on campus... :(
Fun Time
soooo..... I started NetFlix!!! I am anxiously awaiting my first 2 choices... I hope to get them before I leave for my parents this evening... "P.S. I love you" and "Mad Money"! It is pretty exciting!! haha :)
My gaming has declined since all the busy shit has started... and I am not too happy about it...
My cross-stitching has declined as well.... :(
I hope to get back in the swing of things since I will have the next two days off from work and heading to my parents! I am bringing the Wii!!! GAMING WILL COMMENCE! STITCHING WILL COMMENCE AS WELL!
This took quite a while for me to write up... lol Now, it is time to get out of here (work)!
Until the next time,
~T :)

Things are getting better... getting better all the time!
APs blog - basically says everything about the past weekend... I had soo much fun in Abilene! I will say that the town is very large and confusing to what I am use to. I have a new found respect for anyone living there because they have grown accustomed to getting themselves around the town! It was soo great to see them again... It feels like no time has passed at all.. We are a little older now, a little more mature with loads of responsibility but, I feel like we just picked right back up where we left off!
AP and Momma C have sparked some new interests to me... Recipes (I want to cook again!), Net Flix (I am going to sign up after I get back from work trip), and Games (I was already getting hooked before I went, now it is the ultimate relaxation tool)! Also, Momma C has given me the idea to put initials on all my cross-stitch creations.. super cool.
I did realize how much of a pet-lover I am this weekend... I LOVE cats but, I never realized I could get soo attached to pets that aren't my own. I hated to leave Alex and Sophie (Scott Kitties) on Sunday... they were there when I unpacked my bags saying "Hi, how are you? I can help"... Then when I was leaving they were just watching... "Where are you going? Stay and play"... They were just there every step of the way... They are sooo precious. Now, I am missing Jinx more than ever and I am pretty sure that I am going to head to the parents (AGAIN) this weekend so I can see him and them before I go out of town next week... I don't think I have ever been this on the go since high school but, I know its good for me!
Things are getting better at work... I don't know if its just because they are paying for my trip next week or not... I am have successes with project I have been working on that seemed to have NO RESOLUTION... Things are just good right now. I was a little rough around the edges on Monday but, I think that is mainly do to the fact that we were just busy bees this weekend... the level of alcohol didnt help the situation at all.. haha
What else? What else? Going to get my hair cut afterwork today... Its kinda growing into a mushroom look. I really want to make some guacamole.. I have never done it before... but, I had some last week at the womens meeting and it was tooo good!
Alright... guess that is it! TIME FOR GAMES!

Today is my Thursday!
Ok, so I know that today is Wednesday but, since we get off work this Friday, July 4th... Today is my "Thursday" and I am psyched!! :)
I must admit that Fridays are my favorite day of the week!!! I LOVE FRIDAYS!! I love Thursdays too because it is day before FRIDAY! Anywho... I am just excited that my week at work is nearly over and to celebrate that I have been playing games at work all day long..... haha
I am especially excited that my week is nearly through because I will be traveling to Abilene on Friday to see some dear friends! I am not one that has alot of "close" friends... it is much easier for me to make acquaintances and exchange simple pleasantries. The few close friends I do have are more than friends to me.. they feel like family. AP will always feel like a sister to me and Momma C will always be my second mom. Anywho, I am excited to see them again and cant wait to meet the newest members of the family!! :)
Since this blog is here to share my thoughts, I am going to switch gears a bit to get some things out that I have been contemplating... fair warning... this might get deep and kinda sad...
I have decided that I am going to try and make amends with one of my aunts that I have not seen or spoken to in some time. Growing up she was my favorite aunt and my cousins and I always enjoyed going to her house to have good food and fun times! She is the youngest of my mothers siblings... so, she was the fun one. When I was in high school my aunt had met some guy on the Internet in a Nascar chat room of all places... She then met this dude face to face... long story short she ended up moving to Iowa to be with him... They ended up getting married and moving to Oklahoma to be closer to the family... So, needless to say during this time we weren't so close to her as we use to be... "we" as in me and my cousins. Then when I was in high school my mother's mom passed away and the whole family... mom, her 3 sisters, and 1 brother.. who were always soo close... went their own ways... My mom's father ended up marrying some broad that is 2 years older than my mom.. so, the family literally split to shreds... Anywho... My "favorite" aunt was the only sibling who stood by my mothers father when this broad moved in with him and eventually married... so, a war between the sibling... as you can imagine it affected us-the kids. I could write on and on for days about this whole ordeal... (maybe this is one of those things that a shrink is for) hahahah... I have not seen or spoken to my aunt in lets say 5 or 6 years and for some reason.... since, my dad's mom passed away last summer... I have begun to realize how important family is... like them or not... they are your family... its what you got because when they are long gone... you can't get them back. So, this is my first baby step into doing the right thing.... whatever the reasons my aunt did nothing personal to me... she sided with my grandfather (that is her problem... not mine)... One thing my dad's mother told me before she passed... is to remember the good times... Remember all the good times! At the time, I thought she just meant to remember all the good times with her and my dad's father growing up......... My dad's mother hated the fact that my mom's family was fighting and that I chose to include myself in it and distance myself from that part of my extended family..... What she was trying to tell me was to remember to the good times... each and every day... not just with her... but, with everyone... family... friends... the whole nine yards... Not to sit and dwell on... he said, she said... BS.. So, what if my grandfather shacked up with some dirty nasty hell-bitch... (that is his problem... not mine)... Keep in mind..its going to take one giant step for me... to try to make amends with him and her... lol So, I am going to start small... and try to re-connect with my once "favorite" aunt. If I hear nothing back from her it is ok...If I can extend an olive branch at least I will feel like I did my part... instead of always living with this regret... So, I plan to start small and send a card with a little note inside.. and see what happens... She was always a fan of sending cards and lots of chocolate.. so, I am sure this will not offend her in any way. We will see what happens...
So, I felt to unleash this beast in my thoughts... mainly because my mother would probably shit if I told her I was contemplating making amends with my Aunt Michele... Her words would be "What the hell for?".... I love my mother, only because I have learned to put up with her... lol
I better close for now... my job has just paid me to do this bit of therapy.. haha... its worth every penny... NOW on to the GAMES!
